Joint Statement on Current Events
The murder of George Floyd has highlighted decades of police brutality towards black and other minority ethnic communities, not just in America but worldwide.
Over the last week we have witnessed a tipping point in terms of awareness of racial injustice and tolerance of systemic inequalities.

Black Lives Matter
As we acknowledge our own privilege, we will also continue to promote social justice, equality and inclusion. We stand behind these values professionally and personally. Organisations that are working with communities play a critical role. We welcome the statements and actions of the many organisations we work with who are speaking out in support of Black Lives Matter.
Communities we work with are actively engaged in these conversations and in the wider movement for justice. In our role as community development practitioners we are supporting that work.
We invite colleagues, partners and others to share their perspectives and responses to this current crisis.
